HISTORY John J Adams Die Corp. is a family owned business passed down through the generations. John Julius Adams first purchased the E. Fisher & Co. manufacturing boot and shoe machinery in 1881. By 1896 Mr. Adams purchased the adjacent business of A.M. Howe, est. 1857 and producing cutting dies for leather, paper, rubber and cloth. In 1897 Mr. Adams incorporated both businesses under the firm name John J Adams Die. John J Adams Die Corp. represents the oldest existing cutting die firm in the nation.
